Welcome to UNO Junior Move

DID YOU LOVE UNO AS A KID?

Pleeeease… who didn’t, right!

Well, guess what Fun Run Family?

This year, we welcome Mattel Australia as a prize partner to the School Fun Run program. The big idea at Mattel is to create innovative products and experiences that inspire, entertain and develop children through play.

The jump from that mission to ours at School Fun Run is a pretty short one. Even Chase (our loveable Cheetah) could make the leap… and I mean following one of his famous Christmas lunches; MASSIVE!

As you well know, School Fun Run is nothing if it’s not an entertaining and inspiring experience for primary school aged children to take part in. It’s like a big party where play, smiles and laughter are at the very top of the ‘to do list’ that day.

… But the links between School Fun Run and Mattel aren’t limited to our missions… that’s just the start!

You see Mattel is home to some of the world's most well-known and beloved brands, including Barbie, Fisher-Price, Hot Wheels, Thomas & Friends and of course UNO! So, we (parents) all have childhoods of our own, and we all have a connection to those great brands.

Here’s the thing…

School Fun Run was founded nearly 40 ages old in 1987, so if you’re the parent of a primary school aged child now, it’s likely you’ve also taken part in a Golden Circle School Fun Run, an adidas School Fun Run, a CUA School Fun Run or just a plain old SCHOOL FUN RUN! It’s all us. It’s all School Fun Run.

So, many of you will have childhood memories of running for fun with us and playing for fun with Mattel.

The big question now is why have we come together after all these years? What’s the big idea?

The answer is twofold:

The first answer is: UNO JUNIOR MOVE!

Yep, at School Fun Run we’re all about making HAPPY KIDS; we do it through the power of movement at school and now, you can take that power home! That’s because Mattel has made UNO Junior MOVE!

This game will have your kids jumping, dancing, clapping, or bending whenever they play a card with a special star icon on it. It's an active way to learn, to play and have great fun on game night. You can play UNO Junior MOVE with 2 to 4 players ages 3 years old and up – So, it’s perfect for families with young kids.

Now for the best part… UNO has given us some product to keep your family moving this year. Students can earn them as they take part in their School Fun Run. But… if you don’t win one on our socials or earn one at your School Fun Run, you can also buy one online. It’s a classic game with a new twist to help get kids up and moving, so what are you waiting for? So, what are you waiting for? Check it out here: UNO JUNIOR MOVE!

The second reason is that Mattel and School Fun Run are working together to help spread awareness about the importance of physical activity.

School Fun Run is a great way to get primary school aged kids involved in physical activity while they raise money for their school. Mattel is a leading toy company that has a proud history of providing fun and educational toys to children around the world. By working together, Mattel and School Fun Run have the potential to create an exciting and rewarding experience for kids. We plan to help them stay healthy while supporting their schools.

To that end, in addition to the games, UNO is also giving our families a chance to win a $20,000 Ultimate Prize Package just for taking part in School Fun Run!

In short, we’re providing kids with even more incentive to stay physically active and make a difference in their community.

WHAT IS UNO JUNIOR MOVE:

UNO Junior Move is an exciting new game that combines the classic UNO card game with the fun of physical activity. This game is designed for children ages four and up and is a great way to get kids active while they’re learning important skills and having fun!

The game is played the same way as traditional UNO, only with the added challenge of incorporating physical movement. During each turn, players must perform a specific action such as dancing, clapping or jumping around the room. The first player to get rid of all their cards wins the game.

This game is also a great way to help kids develop their coordination while learning critical thinking skills, colour & number recognition and how to take turns.

There are three levels of play in UNO Junior Move™: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. As the levels increase in difficulty, cards are added that skip players, reverse the direction of play or even make somebody draw extra cards!

The game can be played with up to four players, so it's a great way for kids to socialize and have fun with their friends.

UNO Junior Move is an entertaining and educational game that encourages physical activity in a fun way. It's a great way to get kids moving while they play and have a blast. The game is available online and in stores, so give it a try and get your kids up and moving.
