If you're interested in organising a Halloween themed School Fang Run for your school, here are a few tips to help you get started:

Choose a date and location

The first step in organising a School Fang Run is to choose a date between October 23 and November 3. Ideally, you should choose a date that's close to Halloween which is Tuesday, October 31 this year. The perfect location will be easily accessible and has enough space to accommodate the participants. We suggest the school’s oval.

Register your event

Call 1800 FUN RUN or email welcome@schoolfundraising.com.au to book your school’s Fang Run. Try to do this before September if you can, it will just make the experience a lot smoother for you as we’ll have helps of time to plan ahead.

Promote the event

Promotion is key to the success of any fundraising event. Your Fundraising Coach (at School Fun Run HQ) will hold a strategy session with you and create a tailor made fundraising plan for your school. You will then use the tools we supply (social media, promotional posters, etc) plus word-of-mouth to promote your School Fang Run. Encourage participants to create fundraising pages and share them via email, text and of course on social media to reach a wider audience.

Plan the course and decorations

Plan the course for your Halloween Fun Run and decorate it with Halloween-themed props and music. We’ll kick start you with Spider Webs, Spiders, Face Paint, Capes and Fangs. This will create a festive and exciting atmosphere that encourages participation.

Recruit volunteers

Organising a Halloween themed school fundraiser will require a team of volunteers to help with various tasks, such as course setup, plus throwing the powder and squirting slime.
