“Today was a huge amount of excitement for the kids. The moment they came around the corner and saw the oval set up with all of the School Colour Run stuff, they were so excited, and they've been chanting fun-run, fun-run, over and over!

It really brought our school together; we've all worked very hard to make this happen and it involved a lot of our community as well. We've had the rural fire brigade helping out spraying the kids with water. We had our local police officers and our adopt-a-cop come along and helped out and our parents have been amazing.

We've had parents and grandparents here and when we hold an event like this it's almost like a celebration of how we all fit together. So, it's been a real community effort.

I think the children and the parents will be really disappointed if we don't hold another colour fun run. I think it's going to become an annual event for us because of the smiles on their faces. Yeah, I think we would be doing ourselves a disservice if we didn't have another School Fun Run.”
