“A day like today brings a lot of stuff to our school. We love it because we're always looking for things for our whole school to do together and I can't think of another event that brings this much fun for absolutely everybody in our school community.

I think today was fantastic, to see kids light up with those big, beautiful smiles. You know it's such a different feel to be in the classroom where you're concentrating on something like mathematics. To be out here in the sun, in the fresh air, and to see their faces light up… being a mixture of surprise, and anticipation, and joy, and terror!

It's been really like, in our hearts as teachers, but I feel like it's lightening their hearts as students as well.

I think in cultures, you've got to have events and to make a strong culture you've got to have celebration. Today was really about that for us, it's about just celebrating and building those relationships together because that's what strong cultures have.

When kids look back on this year, we want them to think about things like this and the great times that they had. The rewards are healthy, the focus is healthy, and it's so easy to manage as well.

We love the logistical side of it because it's just not a headache to us at all, it all just happens and the kids who are keen go hard for it. It's a dream event for us as a school. I’d absolutely recommend it to any school and yeah, we'll do it again definitely.”
